‘Golden’ is the culmination of works written between 2022 - 2024.
It was a particularly tricky period of my life where I was struggling with a lot of grief and depression in amongst some very difficult life changes; but within was an undying sense of hope that things could be better.

I’m through the other side of that journey now, and like all of my songs… these need to be set free to live a life of their own.

I haven’t been able to get into a studio to record in amongst all of these changes, so these songs are all recorded either ad hoc as I was writing them or very soon after they were finished. They are about as raw as you will ever get from a songwriter! I do believe that it is important to share them, and as always it’s my hope that they may serve as comfort or help to anyone who may be going through similar themes in life. And … well eventually we all do. So I hope these provide a sense of comfort for you in your hard times; and as a reminder that we are not alone in our darkest moments.

This is a ‘soft release’ of these songs. They are available for download on my bandcamp and website, but not available for streaming. It’s not necessarily my intention to ever release them fully, but that’s where you come in. If you like them- if they help you or move you in some way please let me know. I’ve listed the album as $0 because it cost me nothing (other than my life experience) but if you would like to hear studio recorded versions of the songs or for them to be uploaded for streaming, please tell me!
